FUN FUN FUN!!!

The past couple weeks family has been here in Utah visiting family and also having a family reunion with my dad's side of the family. It was super fun to be with them and to hang out. I was sad to see them go though. Hopefully I will be able to go to California for Aaron's birthday at the beginning of September. Anyways while they were here we went and saw the two new temples here in Utah. Here are a few temples. The first one in Draper had amazing houses around it, it was pretty cool. They are both up on hills that kind of overlook the valley. Enjoy!!!Draper Temple

Thoughts

So I have been reading the book Saints at War by Robert C. Freeman & Dennis A. Wright. It is by far the most intriguing book that I have read in a very long time. I was talking to my Dad about it last night and how much I enjoy learning about wars: what happened during them, how they started and pretty much just everything about them. Yeah I know war is not a good thing, but I find it very intriguing to learn all about it. The more I can learn about it the better. In this book it talks mostly about World War II, but it talks about the first world war as well. I actually find it scary thinking about things like the draft, which it talks about and how one family lost four sons in the course of like a month. I distinctly remember reading about it and then immediately thought about how my younger brother Tanner had to fill out a paper if there ever were a draft. My mom was explaining it to me and how it probably would never happen, but just thinking that it could and the war that is going on in Iraq scares me to death. I don't know what would ever happen if there was a draft and Tanner was drafted. This has definitely made me think more about how important families are and how important it is to be close to them. Most importantly though I think of how grateful I am to have a family and be able to talk to them and be close to them. Okay, so enough of that, but just realized this and needed to write it somewhere. Love you all!!!

WOW!!!

So pretty much its been a long time since posting. A lot has happened in like these last 3 weeks. The past three weekends I have gone down to my uncle and aunt's house in Lehi. It has been so much fun. Aspen Grove is better than ever, but I have to say the food is getting old as we have the same thing each week. Not much variety. Needless to say when I go down to Provo or Lehi on the weekends it is nice to have something different to eat. These past 3 weekends I have gone to a rodeo, watched 2 parades, gone swimming tons, played with cousins, watched coach pitch and t-ball games, watched fireworks, went shopping and just relaxed and has a blast. I can't wait because my family is coming up in about 2 weeks for our family reunion. I am overly excited and probably talk about it with my friends about everyday. They are probably getting annoyed of it quick. Tomorrow is church and I have to be in nursery since that is my calling as the nursery leader. I have to say that it is fun, but it is probably the biggest nursery that I have seen even though we have different groups of kids every Sunday. It actually presents quite a bit of a problem because none of the kids know eachother and they are in a very unfamiliar setting. So far it has not been too terribly difficult. I am definitely learning patience!!!!! Ok enough of my rambling, here are a few select and fun pictures from the past 3 weekends....ENJOY!!! Love and miss you all!!

First base

Look at that concentration!!! She's pro already

Tongue out just like me..hahahaha!

It was her turn to bat and she was posing for the camera. What a girl!!! Love her!

Parker at bat. He was pretty dang good.

At the parade with the sweet shoe float.

RODEO!! Aimee, Me & Tae

So this was about halfway through the rodeo they had these motorcycle guys come and jump the ramps. It was pretty sweet needless to say. The blur in the sky is the motorcyclist.

Parker's favorite ones. They smelled so bad, but he loved them. He would have been content with just doing those ones all night.

Swinging!!! Aimee's favorite

Watching fireworks..it was super windy.
